Ron Nehring
Ron Nehring is the current chairman of the California Republican Party and chairman of the Republican National Committee’s State Chairmen’s Committee.
Ron began his career as the unanimously elected Chairman of the Republican Party in San Diego County, where he led voter identification, registration, and turnout efforts. In 2003, he was unanimously chosen by his fellow county Republican chairmen to serve as President of the California Republican County Chairmen’s Association and as a member of the Board of Directors of the California Republican Party.
Ron is also a former gubernatorial appointee to the California Board of Forestry and Fire Protection where he brought his experiences from the 2003 Cedar Fire which destroyed over 2,000 homes in San Diego County and drew national attention.
A former trustee for the Grossmont Union High School District, Ron was elected Vice Chairman of the California Republican Party before assuming his current position as Chairman. He is a graduate of Stony Brook University, where he received a Bachelors of Arts in political science. He currently resides in Crest, California.
