Polls open today in a special election to decide if licensed businesses will be able to sell liquor by the drink. Polls will be open from 7 AM to 7 PM.
Voters in Lubbock approved two alcohol sales ballot initiatives by more than 2/3 on Saturday. A measure to allow liquor stores passed with 65% of the vote while another to allow mixed drink sales in bars and restaurants passed with 70%.
Voters in Social Circle, GA this week approved the sale of liquor by the drink. Eleven percent of the city’s registered voters turned out to approve sales by a 63 percent margin.
