Citizens in Charge Foundation has been actively engaged in a campaign of public education, strategic litigation, and good old-fashioned political organizing to protect citizens’ rights at the ballot box.

This year, 2009,  will be a critical year for defending and expanding those rights. We need you to help grow this movement. Join us in engaging your state legislators and your fellow citizens to protect and defend our ballot initiative, referendum and recall process.

We want to empower you to make a real difference in your state. Right now, we are in the process of identifying volunteer Citizen State Coordinators across the country.

As a Citizen State Coordinator you will help us engage in activities at the local and state level to build an organization to protect and defend the ballot initiative and referendum (I&R) process.

We are looking for Citizen State Coordinators who are interested in:

•    leading the charge to protect and expand the initiative and referendum process
•    mobilizing boots on the ground activists
•    meeting and working with elected officials, opinion leaders, major political players, and  activists
•    Working together to host educational events in your state
•    putting citizens in charge of their government
