It’s Constitution Day

Fri, Sep 17 2010 by Staff

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances…

On this day in 1787 the Founding Fathers ratified our Constitution. We here at Citizens in Charge and Citizens in Charge Foundation particularly like the 1st Amendment that gives citizens the right to petition their government. Unfortunately, citizens in only 26 states have the ability to petition their government through the initiative & referendum process in one form or another.

Help us defend citizen petition rights around the country, and bring those rights to the states where they do not exist.

Join us and help out in your state, or make a donation today!
