CNBC’s Santelli: Lets Have Referendum on the Stimulus
Today CNBC editor Rick Santelli reporting from the floor of the CBOE in Chicago started discussing economic stimulus. Santelli, outraged on President Obama’s economic package, was advocating for initiatives and referendums and a Chicago “Tea Party”.
Santelli called out President Obama administration saying instead of spending the people’s money, the President should have a national referendum, on the internet, and put the stimulus to a vote by the citizens. On CNBC Rick Santelli said:
I have an idea, the new administration is big on new computers and technology. How about this President and new administration, why don’t you put up a web site to have people vote on the interenet as a referendum to see if we really want to subsidize the looser mortgages or would we like to, at least, buy cars or buy houses in foreclosure and give it them to people that might have a chance to prosper down the road and reward people that can carry the water instead of drink the water.

The theft of the taxpayers’ money would not go over very well in any initiative vote. If Mr. Obama and his den of 435 thieves want to get away with fleecing the American taxpayers and squandering their hard earned assets to the four winds, he best not count on getting a lot of votes from the literate electorate.
He may be able to force through his highly maligned policy under the guise of “economic recovery”, but, he is not fooling the thinking crowd. All of us need to remember who in Congress voted for this grossly wasteful and wantonly venomous legislation so that we can remove them from public office permanently.
I, for one, will not vote for ANY candidate that has lent their approval to this theft of assets, regardless of their political party affiliation. And, I have a feeling that once the American people have had enough of America’s Second Great Depression, they will not vote for anyone who espouses the kind of thinking that led up to the concoction of such a disasterous fiscal policy.
Barack Hussein Obama can fool some of the people some of the time, but, he isn’t fooling me. And there are a lot of Americans who are not conned into supporting such foolish and irresponsible socialist economic agendas. He can scare some of the “blue haired old folks” into selling their freedom for a false sense of security, but, not the rest of us.
Nice try, Obama, but we see right through your rhetoric. Karl Marx would be very proud of your deciept. If you don’t like our system of free enterprise, liberty, and freedom, go somewhere more suited to your political philosophy, like North Korea or Iran. Pack your bags and be on the next airplane leaving this nation. You are not wanted here.
